BALDWINS Industrial Services, the UK crane hire company, has ordered 22 Grove all-terrain cranes, bringing to 53 the total number of Grove cranes in its fleet.
The order comprises two of Grove’s flagship 300t-class GMK 6300, 10 units of the 100t GMK 5100 and 10 of the new 80t model GMK 4075, launched at Bauma in April.
Chairman Richard Baldwin said: ‘This addition to our fleet is in line with our company policy to buy leading brands with particular emphasis on reliability rather than capacity – and not’, he added in a clear side swipe at rival Ainscough which took over GWS last year, ‘to buy up old fleets.’ Other Grove cranes in Baldwins’ fleet include 24 of the 50t GMK 3050 and four 180t GMK 5180s.
