Steve Barnett has been made managing director of UK sales and operations of the newly consolidated Manitowoc Crane Group.
He was previously managing director of Potain’s activities in the UK.
Manitowoc Crane Group will continue to support Manitowoc crawlers and Potain tower cranes in the UK, while service agent Samuel Walker will continue to service Grove mobile cranes from depots in Glasgow and Manchester.
Manitowoc plans to build up a rental business in the UK for self-erecting tower cranes and to establish rental partners for top slewers.
