BC India – A Bauma ConExpo show is intended as a showcase for construction machinery, building materials machines, mining machines and construction vehicles in a “growth market”. It is planned for February 2011.

It is part of an agreement between Messe München and AEM to work closer together in organising international construction machinery trade fairs.

Last year, in announcing Terex’s decision not to attend Bauma China, CEO and chairman Ron DeFeo said: “We are quickly reaching the saturation point for expense and return with trade shows globally. Terex believes there should be three major global shows, alternating between Asia, Europe and the Americas.

“Shows are best owned by associations where the revenue generated will be used to support the overall interests of the industry.”

On announcing BC India, Eugen Egetenmeir, deputy managing director of Messe München, said: “Through the cooperation between Messe München and AEM, the new event is set to quickly establish itself as an international platform.”

Dennis Slater, president of AEM, said: “Our cooperation will bring a combined international expertise to the Indian marketplace for the benefit of BC India participants and the involved industry.”
