Malets said the ministry is considerding a number of sites where a crane plant could be based. He added, “The capacities and the output might be increased in the future. It is possible that the products will be marketed internationally as well, Vladimir Malets said. On the other hand, if we produce 34 or 40 cranes instead of 100 in the first year of founding of the company, it will not mean a failure. The capacities can be increased piecemeal”
The ministry and Kalik are currently working on comparing crane standards in the two countries. Stressing the importance of safety, Malets said that the country needs 700 tower cranes to replace its fleet.
