Dutch rental company BV Kraanbedrijf BKF was contracted to transport and install a piece of public art entitled The envelope sculpture in a new development in Groningen, northeastern Netherlands.
The sculpture, designed by Frank Sciarone and built by Ballast Nedam Bouw Groningen, weighed 10t and measured 9m by 12m. The transport operation necessitated the removal of street furniture such as lamp posts along the route.
On 6 March the load was hoisted into place in a tandem lift using a 100t Liebherr LTM 1100/1 and a 45t PPM 530-ATT.
