The agreement covers service only, with Manitowoc’s regional office in the Netherlands maintaining responsibility for sales of top-slewing tower cranes, and will see Manitowoc take advantage of BLE’s repair centre at its headquarters in Puurs and its team of factory-trained technicians.

“BLE has a long history of selling and servicing Grove mobile cranes in Belgium,” said Adri van Gronigen, commercial director of sales for Manitowoc in Benelux and Israel. “In June 2008, the company also took on sales and service for Potain self-erecting cranes and has impressed us with its commitment and professionalism.”

Paul Spaepen, general manager of BLE, said: “We feel very comfortable with the Potain range of top-slewing cranes, and we know the systems and processes at Manitowoc Crane Care, so this is a natural step for us.”
