Transport operations of THS Containers, a UK company that buys and sells steel containers, have been boosted by the addition of a Scania tractor and semi-trailer unit fitted with a Fassi F540 truck loader. ‘For offloading work, our new rig makes us quite independent of other cranage on site,’ said THS Containers’ managing director Vince Brindley, ‘and the lifting performance and outreach of the Fassi loader enables us to place large containers in situ, exactly where our customer needs them.’ The F540 loader crane is rated at 50tm and is equipped here with four hydraulic extensions. It was fitted to the tractor unit and installed by GB Commercials of Cambridgeshire.
