Under the terms of the agreement, Bridon said its specialist steel ropes will be Cosalt’s ‘product of choice’ for the operational use of container cranes, tower cranes, mobile cranes, dockside cranes, and piling and dredging applications. This will include Bridon’s Endurance DYFORM 34LR, Endurance DYFORM 8PI, Endurance DYFORM 6 and Endurance 50DB wire rope products.

The agreement will enhance Bridon’s UK land and marine distribution reach, as well as allowing Cosalt to expand its offering in the high-tech marine and industrial wire rope markets, particularly within the specialist crane and hoist application arena.

John Churchfield, managing director of Bridon, said: “We are delighted with this new partnership with Cosalt. The agreement is part of our ongoing commitment to develop business strategies that will support our longer term vision and development framework.

“We believe the combination of Bridon’s rope making expertise with Cosalt’s ability to provide inspection, maintenance and servicing is a perfect fit in terms of adding value to our customers.

“It is significantly important to Bridon’s overall product reach, enhancing our services and reaffirming that our products are global leaders in terms of durability and reliability. Being chosen as a premier supplier by the leading UK safety equipment and inspection provider is proof of our product design and manufacturing capabilities,” added Churchfield.
