Associated British Ports (ABP), the UK’s largest ports business, has bought two Liebherr-Werk Nenzing harbour mobile cranes, type LHM 320 for its operations in the Ports of Goole and Hull in the UK.
The machine for Goole has been delivered to the port operator, and the crane for Hull was due to for delivery at the end of last month. By that time there were eight Liebherr harbour mobile cranes reflecting five crane types running in four ABP ports.
ABP owns and operates 21 ports around the UK, and handles approximately a quarter of the country’s seaborne trade.
The purchases for Goole and Hull will primarily be used for container handling so both machines are equipped with a fully automatic telescopic spreader (workable on 20ft up to 45ft containers).
They also include Liebherr’s economy software for an optimised fuel consumption as well as a second cabin on the slewing platform offering the same features as the tower cabin.
