US carry deck and rough terrain manufacturer Broderson will celebrate the sale of its 10,000th unit by holding an open house this weekend at its Lenexa, Kansas City headquarters.

Established in Missouri in 1973, the family-owned company manufactures carry decks and rough terrain cranes between 2.5t and 18t.

Broderson agreed the sale of its 10,000th unit - one of its 9USt IC-80 carry decks - to its long-time Munroe, Louisiana-based dealer Scott Equipment, and will hand over the carry deck during the open day.

Attendees will be able familiarise themselves with Broderson's current products as well as planned expansions to its product line, such as the 25t IC-400 carry deck prototype that will be on display. Currently the IC-400 is planned for release in Q4 of this year.

The event will also give visitors the opportunity to catch up on developments at the company, such as the recent shipping of the first Broderson 18USt IC-250 carry deck to the UK, following the firm recently achieving full compliance with the EN13000 European standard.

Visitors will be given a tour of the facilities and are invited to a series of talks to be given by Broderson CEO Steve Burton and other officers from the firm.

A catered lunch will be provided to all visitors to the open day, expected to consist of Broderson employees, their families and vendors.

The event will run from 10am to 2pm at the firm's headquarters at 14741, West 106th St, Lenexa, KS, 66215.
