The Hiab XS 310 L can lift 1,240kg at a maximum outreach of 17.5m. It features two joysticks and two pedals that allow multiple functions to be operated simultaneously, and a 450-degree slewing radius and long inner boom to facilitate fast load cycles, Cargotec said.

Cargotec said stability is another major design point of the knuckleboom crane, with a 7m-wide stabiliser span and a ball and socket configuration on the leg plates keeping the crane ‘in perfect balance over the entire working area’.

Other features Cargotec highlights of the Hiab XS 310 L include a slewing mechanism enclosed in an oil bath, to minimise wear on the crane; an oil cooler, that makes oil last longer during intensive operation; the extension cylinders and hoses to the boom tip housed within the booms, cutting maintenance costs; a manual CLX control system; and an adjustable high seat with protection guard, to increase operator safety. The Hiab XS 310 L can also be equipped with a variable flow pump for better working conditions with less noise.

Sergio Peiró, product manager at Hiab, said the use of both joysticks and pedals radically speeds up loading and unloading operations, and thus increases the productivity of the crane.

“The Hiab XS 310 L is designed for the construction industry,” said Peiró. “We are proud to present a powerful crane that is a perfect tool in the growing construction industry in the Middle East.”
