Carolina Crane Corporation has added two Liebherr all-terrain cranes to its fleet, representing further in-roads by the German manufacturer in the American market.
One is an LTM 1090/2, 90t capacity with a 52m boom length, or 71m with swing-away jib; the other is an LTM 1120/1, with a rated capacity of 120t, 56m of boom and a further 28m of fly jib. In the USA they are being marketed as 110 US ton and 150 US ton machines.
“These are the first Liebherr machines we have owned in the 36 years we have been in business,” said Carolina Crane president Earl Johnson III. “They are very dependable; they both have exceptional lift charts and are both very operator-friendly. Both upper cabs tilt back for ease of operator visibility in long boom jobs.
“These two machines are true gems and we look forward to purchasing additional Liebherr models in the future.” There are now more than 200 Liebherr cranes in the USA, according to the manufacturer.
