CICA has moved to establish a new three-year strategic plan for 2009-2011, four years after it last reviewed its actions. This will be facilitated through a stakeholder survey, issued in December, and a strategic planning workshop for the CICA board of directors.

CEO Alan Marshall said he expects the finalised plans to include strengthening the CraneSafe programme, improving member products and services, enhancing lobbying and representation work and adding new members.

“CICA is set to step up its influence and deliver increased member benefits,” Mr Marshall said.

“We have actively sought input from our members, state associations and our various stakeholders so we are being mindful of our important role to represent and lead the industry,” said John Gillespie, CICA president.
