UK crane rental firm McGovern Crane Hire has expanded its fleet with the addition of a new Kato CR-250Rv. The 25 tonne City crane was supplied by Kato distributor Rivertek Services.

McGovern Crane Hire is a family-owned and operated company that operates a fleet of cranes, ranging from 5t to 250t, from its Nottingham depot. It has been in business almost 30 years.

Eddie McGovern, director of McGovern Crane Hire, commented, “We are extremely pleased to re-invest in the Kato Brand. This New CR-250Rv is a fully loaded crane boasting a Stage V Engine, 29 metre fully powered main boom, 8.2 metre fully hydraulic fly and 7.5 tonne searcher hook. We will cover a lot of work with it. It joins two new Liebherr’s which we are also adding to the Fleet as part of our fleet renewal programme.”

Ivan Bolster of Rivertek Services commented, “We are delighted to supply this new Kato CR-250Rv to Eddie, Kieran & Tommy and we would like to wish them continued success. They have probably had every Kato that was on the market for over 20 years including the first new Kato CR-130Rf in 2018. They run an extremely modern fleet of high spec cranes and we thank them for their continued and appreciated business throughout the years “.
