SPANISH tower crane manufacturer Comansa and US rental company Heede Southeast have together set up Linden-Comansa America LLC to market Linden-Comansa cranes across North America.

Comansa has been building tower cranes since 1963. Linden, the Swedish company that Comansa acquired in the mid 1980s, produced the first true cantilever cranes. This was the Linden 8000 modular series, launched in 1978.

Heede Southeast has sold and rented Linden tower cranes in the southeastern area of the USA since 1962. It has 20 Linden-Comansa cranes in its rental fleet.

Heede Southeast general manager Bill Grier said that Linden-Comansa America would ‘combine the manufacturing and design experience of the Comansa group with the marketing and service experience of the Heede group’.
