Comansa is showing one of the four models from its new Linden-Comansa 2100 series of modular, flat-top cranes at Munich’s Bauma exhibition in April.

The 21 LC 400 is the largest of the 2100 series and can lift 3t on the end of its 80m jib. Other cranes in the series are designated 21 LC 170, 21 LC 210 and 21 LC 290. All are available with 12t or 18t maximum load with four-part line.

Comansa says that it has used, wherever possible, the proven structural components of the existing 2000 series and some of the 8000 series, combined with its latest electronic control units, while still keeping to its policy of separate control systems. The mast system is the same as on the 2000 series, for example.

As on other Linden-Comansa cranes, frequency controlled hoist and trolley mechanisms is an option. A new 65kW frequency controlled hoisting mechanism for the 2100 series enables hook speeds of up to 224m/min with a 1,200kg load. This winch will be displayed at ground level in Munich.

Also on show for the first time will be the LC-1060 flat-top. (pic). Rated at 150tm and with a maximum working radius of 60m, it has been designed specifically for the German market. The LC-1060 is the largest model in the 1000 series and bridges the gap between the LC-1044 and the smallest 2100 series model, the 21 LC 170.

From its self-erector range, Comansa is showing the latest version of the HT-30. This lifts 1,000kg at 30m and is the first self-erector in its class, according to Comansa, to be transportable with full counterweight. It has an automatic infolding ballast system, four different jib positions and height under hook of 22m.
