The Navy Crane Center, Portsmouth, Virginia is seeking sources with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel and capability that can provide crane support for the Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU), Southport, NC. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Provide two commercial, ship-to-shore container cranes. Crane capacity shall be 65 long tons, below the spreader bar. The cranes must be equipped with an onboard diesel generator system, luffing boom and mechanized spreader bar. Basic dimensions are as follows: 180ft (55m) outreach, enough for 18 containers across, 80ft (24.4m) back reach, 120ft (37m) height under spreader bar, 80ft (24.4m) rail gage, 60ft (18.3m) portal opening. The rated trolley speed must be 600ft per minute (3m/second). Wheel loading must not exceed the following: 196 kips (90,000 kgf) maximum seaside wheel load, 220 kips (100,000 kgf) maximum ! landside wheel load. The spreader bar must be equipped for twin 20ft (6.1m) containers and must be able to rotate a full 360 degrees.
