At the second annual convention of the Crane Rental Association of Canada, attended by 190 members at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, David Snyder of Sterling Crane was elected chairman and Alan Swagerman of Irving Equipment vice-chairman. Snyder succeeds Jack Sherman of Sarnia Cranes. Secretary/treasurer is Rob Magee of Gwil Crane Service, while also elected as directors were Sheldon Baker, Jean Marc Baronet, Terry Danderfer, Dan Goodale, Bob Hanna, Bruce Margetts, Ken Neuman and René Noel. Next year’s annual meeting will be held in Banff, Alberta, 31 May to 4 June.
Ingo Schiller has been promoted to president of Schiller Service Corp, Liebherr’s USA representative for service and parts.
Robin Buszard joins Sandhurst Manufacturing Company as divisional sales manager for North of England, Wales and the Republic of Ireland.
Richard Castelli has joined Chicago-based distributor Crane & Machinery as service manager.
