John Sutch Cranes of Manchester have just taken delivery of their second Grove GMK5200-1 all terrain crane – and have wrapped it in a custom livery to raise awareness and funds for the nearby Christie cancer hospital in Withington.

It is more than a gesture: the company has pledged a percentage of the rental income from the crane, and will also encourage its customers to make a donation to the charity. The GMK5200-1 is a five-axle 200t machine – and fittingly, its first job for John Sutch was at Great Ormond Street children’s hospital in London, with customer Clarke Energy also making a donation to the Christie charity – see www.christie.nhs.uk/the-christie-charity.
