The company deals in maintenance and spare parts of ship cranes, offshore cranes and mobile cranes. Alatas said it has experienced very vigorous sales growth in 2007 due to the expansion of crane parts supply and hydraulic repairs. The President, Tim Sparrow, said: “It is gratifying to see how the team’s hard work over the last couple of years has translated into such tangible success – our new head offices reflect the increasing profile of Alatas Worldwide and will enable us to expand further.”

Commenting on the launch of the new premises, Vice President Mark Dodwell said: “In 2007, Alatas provided crane spare parts and service cover for a record number of cranes across the continent. Our investment in this new headquarters illustrates our aim to significantly expand our American operations, and we are looking to recruit workshop and crane service engineers to continue this growth.”

Alatas has also set up a service station in Bremen, Germany to service the North Sea offshore market.
