Ex-commercial director of Mammoet Russia expands online crane rental franchise Mycrane internationally.

Online crane rental platform Mycrane (my-crane.com) is being launched internationally, with new markets including the USA, Canada, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Germany, The Netherlands, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore.

The service, which is already operational in Russia, is designed to simplify the process of crane rental by enabling users to submit details of their lifting requirements. They then receive personalised quotes from a range of registered crane providers.

The system is designed to remove the need for users to contact multiple equipment providers. Instead, users complete an online request form designed to ensure they receive directly comparable quotations.

The Mycrane platform enables rental of cranes between six and 750 tonnes capacity. Crawler, mobile and tower cranes can be requested. In addition, the company said it is working on adding new crane types including fast assemble tower cranes, gantry cranes, and mini cranes.

Designed to facilitate getting competitive crane quotes

Mycrane was founded by entrepreneur and heavy lift and project cargo industry professional Andrei Geikalo, whose CV includes commercial director at Mammot Russia (www.linkedin.com/in/andrei-geikalo-52365b86/?originalSubdomain=ru). “Mycrane was born out of the desire to change the existing outdated and inconvenient methods of procuring crane services and to make life easier for those who require lifting services,” he said. “At present crane rental is a manual, old-fashioned process that takes far too much time. In launching the service we have combined the latest digital technology with our long industry experience. I have personally been involved in countless heavy cargo and lifting projects so I know only too well how useful our service will prove to be.

“With Mycrane there are no more phone calls or unclear quotations to decipher, just easy-to-understand quotes delivered direct to your inbox. And when you need to change your quote, simply amend your online request at the Mycrane website and our equipment providers will be back in touch.

“We believe Mycrane will set a new standard for the lifting business – making crane rental easier, quicker and more transparent.”

Mycrane also plans to offer a number of other tools for the crane industry including: a marketplace advertising used equipment, rigging equipment, spare parts and auxiliaries; career vacancy announcements; a news portal; and support services such as engineering and legal consultancy.

The company operates on a franchise model and welcomes enquiries from industry professionals interested in operating the service in their home country.
