The company also said that it had invested $14m in new equipment in the fourth quarter of 2013.

The firm credited a major resurgence in commercial/industrial demand as being the reason for its expansion and investment. The company has added two of the world’s largest cranes to its fleet including a third 825t capacity Manitowoc 18000, a new 600t capacity Terex AC500 hydraulic truck crane and a 224ft Trail King dual lane transport trailer.

Crane Rental Corp said that the equipment it had invested in was well suited for extra heavy loads at chemical and power plants, refineries, and road and bridge building projects.
