Crane Rental’s Kenilworth prime mover and 15-lines of Goldhofer hydraulic platform trailer raised and moved the boilers to the power plant from the lay-down yard where they had been unloaded from a ship earlier in the year.
Two Manitowoc 2250 crawler cranes were used to stand up the modules and then set them in place. The larger of the two had 200ft (61m) of main boom, 104t (115 US tons) of counterweight, Max-er 2000 attachment and wagon with 210t (231 US tons) of counterweight. The tailing crane had 170ft (52m) main boom and 167t (184.5 US tons) of counterweight.
Each lift took about 45 minutes.
