Removals and Porterage: We have the normal office churn requirement to relocate furniture, furnishings, and crates within and between buildings. In addition we require porterage and transport services for large office relocations, ceremonials, and for dining and conference room set up/re configuration. Traditionally this includes the services of, on average, 8 resident porters. Numbers will vary throughout the year. Removals, porterage and storage: In addition to the above we require storage facilities for stock furniture, stock carpet, historic furniture and the Palace architectural salvage. Historic furniture currently occupies 1 350 square metres of open floor space in weather proof conditions. Stock items are currently held in 70 metal sea freight containers and 120 standard wood containers. These quantities are expected to decline.
