“In a shrinking economy, it is gratifying to the industry to know that owners and users of high-risk plant are using the service in greater numbers,” said Jeff Brundell, CraneSafe national director.
CraneSafe now extends to 16 categories of equipment. Brundell noted the number of inspections carried out between the 2007/08 and 2008/09 fiscal years increased from 3,656 to 4,584. “This is not surprising as more users of the service recognise the peace of mind knowing that they are meeting their OH&S responsibilities by using the CraneSafe third-party independent inspection service to assist them in providing equipment that is safe for continuing use.”
