In the past, it was easier to summarise crane data in a simple table than it is today,” said Cranes Today publisher David Wildman.  “Cranes are becoming more and more complicated, and so is the specification process.”

Wildman said that the one-line entries had become outmoded, and redundant with the rise of the internet, where manufacturers publish their own specifications. “We believe that the main job of the Cranes Today Handbook is to help buyers start down the road of buying a crane. Because a buyer’s guide-type organisation focuses more on suppliers than on data, it will make their research easier.”
