The five cranes have been supplied with booms up to 91.4m, together with 61m luffing boom and 61m luffing jib configurations. All are equipped with tilt cabs.

Work for the CKE2500-2 crawler cranes will include oil and energy-related projects covering geographical areas as diverse as South America, the Middle East and Russia. The repeat order follows Mammoet’s positive experience with previous CKE2500-2 models in various environments, Kobelco said.

Kobelco has also announced it will introduce a range of custom build options for the CKE2500-2 to match demand from customers for special adaptations in applications such as wind farm, offshore, barge and port operations and in petrochemical complexes where special operating features are required.

The custom build options include: a 4.85m narrow track width with 1.070mm shoes; extendable and retractable crawlers; four travel motors; 9.32m-long crawlers; a special fixed jib; a 24t capacity auxiliary sheave mounted on top of the special fixed jib; and a self-assembly system with a mast-mounted hydraulic lift cylinder for assembly of crawlers, the car body and rear counterweights.
