Up the stairs: Dutch lifting contractor De Kil is helping to refurbish a multi-storey building in Rotterdam. De Kil is shown using its Liebherr LR 1160 lattice boom crawler to lift a concrete staircase onto the roof of the 60m high building. The crane was used to lift loads up to 10t at a working radius of approximately 22m. The crane is made by Liebherr’s factory in Nenzing, Austria. Liebherr-Werk Nenzing, which also makes foundation, deck and offshore cranes, contributed E331.7m in sales to Liebherr group turnover in 2004. This is an increase of 6.5% on its 2003 performance. Sales in 2004 included a record 58 mobile harbour cranes, just behind the 66 sold by main rival Gottwald Port Technology.
