Pinxton, UK-based Delden Crane Hire is adding four new Kobelco CKE900G-3 crawler cranes to its fleet.

The first unit of the 100t capacity, Tier 5/Stage V compliant cranes has already been delivered. It has been fitted with a specialist tractor-type, flat shoe undercarriage and comes with a variety of lifting options. The crane will soon head out onto its first project, before the arrival of the second unit later this month.

The CKE900G-3 crawler cranes feature Kobelco’s K-CROSS, which allows remote monitoring of the crane and provides daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

The G-Mode helps users save energy. It includes the G-winch for higher spooling speeds without raising the engine speed; the G-Engine, which reduces fuel consumption by limiting maximum engine speed with no loss of winch speed; and the Auto Idle Stop (AIS) function that stops the engine automatically when the crane is not lifting.

Managing director of Delden Cranes, Sean Nyland commented on the purchase: “Our investment in Kobelco Cranes demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with the latest and most modern machines available.

Besides which, these newest CKE900G-3s have been purchased specifically because of their environmental credentials, improving quality and service to our customers, and with a variety of configurations aimed specifically at supporting the environmental requirements of working on High Speed 2 and other significant infrastructure projects.”

Mark Evans, Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe (UK) sales manager for UK, Ireland and Africa said: “This order for another four 100t capacity CKE900G-3 Tier 5/Stage V cranes continues the excellent long-standing relationship between Delden and Kobelco. We hope these cranes prove as successful as the cranes previously delivered.”
