DEMAG has upgraded its first city crane, the 25t capacity AC 25, to 30t capacity and redesignated it the AC 30.
Modifications include a new 172kW Cummins engine, replacing the 156kW Perkins engine of the AC 25. In addition, the boom and the derricking cylinder have both been reinforced and the fixed counterweight has been increased to 2.3t.
For those customer wishing to keep gross vehicle weight below 21t, such as in France where vehicles under 21t GVW can be registered as a truck, a section of counterweight can be unscrewed.
Demag produced more than 300 units of the AC 25 since its launch (when it was called the AC 75) in 1996.
