Operating from their new purpose-built distribution centre at Greenogue, near Rathcoole, Co. Dublin, TBF Thompson, whose head office is at Garvagh, Coleraine in Northern Ireland, will now take over responsibility for the sale of Deutz engines and supply of spare parts throughout the 26 counties of Southern Ireland.
With a turnover of 95 million Euros, TBF Thompson already supplies the major hire, engineering, construction and quarrying companies in Ireland with plant, machinery and spare parts for a variety of leading brands, such as Bomag compact equipment, Hatz diesel engines & generators, Terex dump trucks, Hitachi excavators and Thwaites site dumpers. Their commercial vehicle division sell the award winning DAF truck and LDV van ranges.

Established in 1864, Deutz is the oldest and one of the world’s largest independent manufacturers of diesel and gas engines, producing in excess of 195,000 units annually, with a turnover of 1.3 billion Euros (2005). It has an overall product range extending from 4kW to 4,000kW, suitable for a wide variety of markets and applications, including construction, materials handling, agricultural, groundcare & airport ground handling equipment, together with other off-highway mobile plant.
