The mats, which are produced from synthetic material FiberMax and weigh less than half the weight of steel equivalents, were introduced in early 2014.

The product can be upgraded with a static dissipation strip, which enables the otherwise non-conductive mats to transfer electrical charges from the equipment to the ground. Each mat can be upgraded for $100-$250, depending on the mat size.

The mats now feature corner cribbing, making stacking more efficient and eliminating the need for operators to place temporary cribbing between each mat during storage.

And DICA also now offers three rigging hardware options, including standard D-rings, optional Crosby pivot links, and a new stack and pin system, which enables four mats to be secured together for lifting as a single unit.
