The distribution centre is located in the Jefferson Parish area of New Orleans, one of the many parishes that face evacuations of at least one-month duration.
LGH said: “While news reports indicate that the majority of the flooding in the parish has been drained, residents with an ID were permitted to return Monday (September 6), but urged to gather belongings and leave. Electrical and sewerage capabilities are still ceased, and parish officials predict that ‘it will be weeks before Jefferson Parish is liveable’.”
