Jürgen Dlugi, previously sales and marketing director, has taken over as managing director of SWF Krantechnik GmbH from Martin Rothe.
SWF, based in Germany, is a subsidiary of KCI Konecranes of Finland that distributes Konecranes-produced electric hoists worldwide under the SWF brand. Rothe has been appointed managing director of Konecranes Germany, which includes all Konecranes operations in the country, including maintenance services and crane building.
SWF reports that it met, and in some areas exceeded, its 2003 sales targets. Turnover reach Euro 17m, a rise of 35% since 2000.
Targets for 2004 include growth in southeast Asia, for which a new Singapore-based area sales manager is being appointed. SWF is also aiming to increase its sales to crane builders in eastern Europe and has stepped up it sales force dedicated to that region.
