An old lighthouse in the picturesque harbour town of Harlingen, in the north of the Netherlands, has been converted into a private domestic residence.

Alterations that had to be made to the 22m-high structure, which was built in 1920, included the removal of a copper dome on the top. The dome weighed 2,000kg.

To lift it off, crane hire company BV Kraanbedrijf (BKF) deployed a 45t-capacity PPM 530 ATT. The lifting project was carried out last November.
