Although crane safety in the booming Gulf city has been a popular topic among industry representatives over the past two years, 2009’s conference will mark the first time a representative of the Dubai Municipality has been able to speak.
Senior safety engineer Ahmed Khalil Abdul Kareem, of the Dubai Municipality Buildings Department, will explain DM crane safety priorities, review official accident statistics, explain worksite inspection procedures and respond to questions from the floor in his speech.
