Khansaheb Civil Engineering has taken delivery of a top-of-the-range Scando 650 passenger and goods hoist from Alimak for construction of the Al Rostamani Tower in Dubai. It is the first Scando 650 in the Middle East.
The new Scando 650 is available in single or twin car configuration as a modular system that can adapt to different applications using relatively few modules and components, Alimak says.
It takes payloads of 1600kg to 3200kg per car and has a standard maximum lifting height of 250m that can be increased to 400m if required. For the Al Rostamani project, Khansaheb has ordered a twin cage Scando 22/32 DOL with a lifting height of 80m and a speed of 40m/min.
The 79m-high commercial and residential building has three basement levels, a ground floor and two mezzanine levels, plus 14 storeys. It is scheduled for completion in August 2005.
