It has transferred Model 20 and 35 production line to the factory of parent CTE, aerial platform and telehandler manufacturer, a hundred miles north in Rovereto, Italy. The total production of the two models will be in the region of 500 units per year. Once in full production, the company will provide employment to about 20 additional people.
Effer was bought out by CTE in 2005 after facing financial difficulties.
Until now, the models have been built in the factory next to Effer’s headquarters in Castel Maggiore, near Bologna. As soon as Effer’s new factory in nearby Minerbio becomes operational, the models’ production will return to the Bologna area, the company said.
The Model 35 crane can be specced with two or three extensions. It has a has a maximum reach of 7.80 metres with a capacity of 310kg. The crane can be installed on small commercial trucks with a loading capacity of up to 1t. The degree of rotation allows operation in difficult conditions, with an inclination of the operating plane of the crane of up to 5°. Bronze bushes on the rotation pivots help increase the durability of the crane.
The company said that order bookings have “noticeably increased” over the last few months. The company said its goal is to produce 1,000 machines per year.
