The 192m, 54 storey, tower is being built in the centre of the Polish capital. It is the first project in the country designed by Libeskind’s world famous studio.

Work on the project began in March 2008. EFH bought two Wolff cranes for the job, a 7031 and a 5520. The two new cranes join EFH’s fleet of 150 cranes, ranging from 45kNm to 3,000kNm. The city centre location imposed tight restrictions on the cranes used: as well as needing to reach the 192m top of the building, the must be assembled on anchors in the 6.10m high bottom slab inside the building, with substructure floor openings. They would need to be assembled and dismantled exclusively from one side of the road.

The two cranes will be working on the project until November 2009; so far they have reached 90m.
