Yorkshire rental company Emsley Crane Hire has invested £2.5m ($4m) on 12 new cranes since 1 August 1998.
This brings to 50 its total fleet of hydraulic cranes. The cranes operate out of two depots: Harrogate and Barnsley.
Cranes bought in the second half of 1998 were: a Demag AC 395 (140t capacity) and AC 25 city crane (25t); a Grove GMK 4070 (70t) and three GMK 2035s (40t); two Liebherr LTM 1045s (45t) and an LTM 1030 (30t); and a Tadano TL 350E (35t) and two TL 250Es (25t).
