Italian heavy transport contractor Fagioli has acquired PSC Heavy Lift, the UK lifting arm of Freyssinet of France.
Fagioli took a 25% stake in PSC Heavy Lift in 1998 to formalise an alliance forged when working together (Fagioli buys stake in. Jan98, p9). Fagioli’s SPMTs have provided the tailing for PSC’s Towerlift system. Several heavylift contracts using this method have been won in the USA.
Sale of PSC is part of a wider rationalisation by its ultimate parent company, the French conglomerate Vivendi.
