The recent St Judes Day storm that struck northern Europe complicated the recovery operations, which were co-ordinated by Gerard de Nijs Transport, working with Mammoet.

Dutch firm Gerard de Nijs Transport, from Limmens, used an 80t Fassi heavy-duty crane, mounted on a tractor, to recover a fishing boat that had drifted onto a sand bank in Petten, near Amsterdam, after getting its nets caught in its propeller.
