TADANO Faun begins shipping its new ATF 60-3 all terrain to customers in January, company president Shinichi Iimura told Cranes Today last month.
Iimura said that this three-axle crane was a successor to the ATF 50-3. The superstructure is the same as that of the ATF 60-4, with a five-section 40.2m main boom, and the carrier is a modified version of Faun’s 45 tonner with a single engine and ZF AS-Tronic transmision. The chassis is 9.77m long and total length is 11.78m.
The two-engine AFT 60-4 will continue to be available.
The load charts show that the crane lifts 60t at a radius of 2.5m over the rear, 55t at 2.5m radius through 360° and 49.6t at 3m radius through 360°. It is being marketed as a 60 tonner and key target markets, Iimura said, are the UK, Spain, France and Italy.
Weight is 36t with 6.1t ballast, 16.00 R25 tyres and 32t hook block. With 5.1t counterweight it can carry boom extensions as well and still have a GVW of 36t.
Iimura also said that the first two units of the ATF 230-6, launched at Bauma last year, are now available for delivery to customers but no sales have been completed yet.
