“As far as construction is concerned, the idea is to do this only in very selected markets in which we have no representation at the moment. We are very aware of the possibility of competing with our rental house customers and that is not our intention at all. We will respect the territories of our rental house customers or perhaps form partnerships with them to grow their businesses faster that they could do on their own,” Mac said.
“We’ve always had a small fleet of cranes in selected markets. For example, we have approximately 40 cranes in Malaysia on rental (home turf I suppose) and basically another 30 spotted randomly around the world.
“Basically our idea is to increase the size of this rental fleet not only for the construction industry but also for the offshore industry,” Mac said.
He said that the plan offers the fastest possible growth of the footprint of Favelle Favco using the resources available within its organisation.
