Böcker presents its first fully electric steel-aluminium truck crane.

German truck crane manufacturer Böcker is launching an electric AK 48e truck crane. According to Böcker its first fully electric steel-aluminium truck crane can operate completely electrically in crane and platform mode, plus it can travel to the construction site powered exclusively by electricity utilising a Mercedes eActros.

With the AK 48e Böcker says it is starting a new era proving that the electrification of powerful crane technology and the elimination of fossil fuels on the construction site are already possible. Existing and future specifications regarding a low-noise, locally emission-free and climate-neutral drive with regenerative energy are already met by the AK 48e, it claims.

The crane will debut at the forthcoming Bauma trade show in Germany.

More details to follow, once they are released.
