Like Comedil, the company has launched a new range of self-erectors with covered motors and electrics. The first of these units, the RB 1030, was shown at Bauma 2004. The two units at the show, the 22tm-class RB 828 I and 25tm class RB 1131 I have frequency-inverter controls on all motions. “The evolution of these machines will be in the mechanism and safety controls,” Conti says.
FM debuts three cranes
FM claims an erection time of only three hours for its new topless city-class tower crane, the 1040 TLX. An operator cabin is optional for the crane, which lifts 1t to 40m jib-end, and 2.4t to 18.5m. The S1210 model with 1.2m-square mast sections rises to maximum height of 36m. In 2007, the company will produce a new flat-top with 80m jib, according to export manager Luciano Conti.
