Foselev, the French crane rental and industrial services company, has completed the purchase of the crane rental division of G Moraud LTS, the leading transport company in the city of Bordeaux.
The division includes 15 mobile cranes and will now operate under the name Foselev Sud Ouest. The acquisition increases the size of Foselev’s fleet to 180 mobile cranes.
The transport operations of G Moraud LTS was not part of the deal and remains in the hands of Moraud family.
Foselev finance director Christophe Brière said: ‘The purchase of Moraud’s mobile crane fleet together with the workforce is a great boost for Foselev in the southwest of France.’
In 2002 Foselev’s consolidated turnover rose by 7% to E 85m ($91m), compared with E 79m in 2001. Crane hire, its main division, accounts for 40% of sales. It also hires out modular buildings and works in industrial maintenance.
