A new name in tower crane manufacturing plans to exhibit a flat top tower crane at Bauma in April.
Jost Cranes GmbH will show a 300tm unit from its M series, which ranges from 80tm to 1,000tm.
Franc Jost, principal of the new company, is a well known crane designer, having worked for BKT and Comedil Deutschland, prior to the Terex takeover of Gru Comedil in 1998. This is his first venture in manufacturing in his own right.
Jost said that the cranes were a modular design and met DIN and FEM standards as well as ISO 9001. Cost-effective manufacturing had also been designed-in.
Orders have already been received from Southeast Asia, where Jost Cranes’ manufacturing operation is located. Luffing jib cranes are also planned, Jost said.
