Brook Hansen has introduced units incorporating integral frequency inverters to its S3 family of geared motors.
The new VS3 range covers compact variable speed drives. Inverter-based speed variation is available on the original in-line helical S3, the helical/bevel right-angle SK3, the parallel-shaft helical SP3 and the helical/worm SW3. Motor power ratings are from 0.55kW to 7.5kW, with 1:5 to 1:10 speed range.
Programming can be via a PC, a local control panel or a simple local operating pad.
Also available is a potentiometer to serve as a lockable mechanical alternative for achieving speed variation.
