Bridon’s Endurance 50DB crane rope has been brought to market after a year on trial with key customers. The 26 strand crane rope, described as revolutionary by Bridon applications manager Dave Hewitt, pictured below, has been developed specifically for mobile cranes. Ropes used in these applications often have six or eight strands, Bridon says.
Endurance 50DB is claimed to have the highest breaking force of all conventional low rotation and rotation resistant ropes. Rotation resistance is such that it can be used for three times the lifting height of a conventional 18×7 class rope, according to Bridon.
Pricing is pitched as being suitable for mobile crane 12 month contracts and hire situations.
